Miss Fitness Sarawak Plaza World Harvest Festival 2011 22 May 2011

KUCHING: Noor Faizah Abdul Latif has been crowned as Miss Fitness Sarawak Plaza World Harvest Festival 2011 yesterday. She defeated 14 other finalists during the competition at Groound floor Sarawak Plaza.

Miss Fitness Sarawak Plaza World Harvest Festival 2011 is jointly sponsored by Sarawak Plaza Shopping Complex, Eyesight Optic, Nestle Fitnesse, Lea Sports Centre, Facelook GSM, Level Up Fitness, Absolute Hair Studio and Hair Do Studio. This is the thrid year of organizing the subsidiary title for the Miss World Harvest Festival 2011.

Noor Faizah walked away with RM500 cash, 1 month complimentary pass to jam session at Level Up, a sash and a bouquet while 1st runner-up Melliane Stupher received  RM300 and a bouquet. For consolation the finalists walked away with RM100 and shopping voucher worth RM100. Every finalist will also received hamper from Nestle Fitnesse, shopping voucher worth RM100 from Facelook GSM, shopping voucher worth RM55 from Eyesight Optic and free 7 days pass to jam session at Level Up Fitness.

The contestants performed in the Lonsdale sports outfits sponsored by Lea Sports Centre and they will show their sports act on the stage. The contestants of the Miss Fitness Sarawak Plaza World Harvest Festival 2011 were judged by En. Busman B. Noor, owner and full time aerobics instructor in FIT Aerobic & Dance Academy. He is also representing Malaysia in various sport aerobic competition in the world namely in Helsinki, Finland (1999), Sea Games (2003) and the winner in state’s aerobic competiton (2001 – 2003). Other judges are Ms Rosaline Sindi of Lea Centre Sdn. Bhd and Ms. Sherlyna Abdul Nasir of Nestle.

The finalists of ethnic beauty pageant Miss World Harvest Festival 2011 are Sharifah Elya Nabila, Asheila Bakri, Princess Alma, Suljirina Lucas, Zaimeera Zada, Erlin Christopher, Faynella Saing, Mellianne Stopher, Hafiza Md. Basir, Grace John, Nor Faizah Abdul Latif, Emilya George, Dorothy Dolly, Azerina Sabri and Liyana Eddie.

Others subsidiary titles for the grand finale are Ratu Cuti-Cuti 1Malaysia (won by Sharifah Elya), Miss Talent WHF (won by Sharifah Elya), Miss Isuzu Springtime WHF, Miss Beautiful Eyes (sponsored by Eyesight Optic), Miss Photogenic WHF (sponsored by The Collective), Ms Congeniality WHF (sponsored by Matahari Global) and best traditional costume (sponsored by J.J Glamorous Collection).

Next week on Wednesday 25th May 2011, the Organizing Committee of World Harvest Festival 2011 will organize a press conference plus a mini concert of World Harvest Festival 2011 at Amphitheatre, Kuching Waterfront from 8.00 p.m. This conference will be chaired by the Assistant Minister of Tourism Sarawak cum the Chairman of Sarawak Economic Development Corporation, Yang Berhormat Datuk Haji Talib Zulpilip.

The mini concert will feature the invited cultural troupe from Nitto Rong Organization of Bangladesh, Batambul Rungus Matunggong of Sabah, Kumpulan Kesenian Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur and Kampung Semban, Puncak Borneo. Also presented are the 15 finalists of Miss World Harvest Festival and Ironman

This year, World Harvest Festival will be held at the Sarawak Cultural Village from May 28h to 29th, 2011. Among the highlights of the 2days/1night festival beside the Ironman WHF 2010 final competition are the staging of a musical drama on Bidayuh legendary, “Selanting Kuning & the Dragon King”, International Cultural Concerts with interactive workshops on dance and music, the grand final of Miss World Harvest Festival 2011, Dayak Food Festival and many more.

So come down to Sarawak Cultural Village from May 28th to 29th to be apart of this colorful celebration. It is the perfect festival for those wanting to savour traditional music, dance, actions and cuisine. Tickets are sold at RM60 for adults and RM30 for children age 6 to 12 years old.
