Hanie Confident Of Winning With Her Charm OVER the weekend, Nur Hanie Syafira, 18,
from Kuching, won two Miss Fair and Lovely subsidiary titles, adding to her already
impressive tally of two titles.

On Saturday, Hanie, one of 14 finalists, won Miss Fitness and yesterday, she won
Miss Eyesight.

Speaking to StarMetro over the weekend, Hanie said she was confident
of winning the beauty pageant with her sparkling personality.

Hanie is the daughter of a 40-year-old policeman and a clerk. She has a younger
sister aged 12 and two brothers aged 11 and three years. “I am confident of
winning because of my beautiful smile and I will make sure the judges are satisfied
with my answers,” said the Form Five school-leaver who plans to pursue studies
in tourism at University Technology Mara. She walked away with RM500 in cash
and a shopping voucher worth RM300.

The Miss Fitness first runner-up award went to Anisca James Barcally who
received RM300.
Hanie is also the winner of Miss Spring Time Mitsubishi and Miss Trendy Hills WHF.
Other subsidiary titles in the pageant are Miss Talent WHF, Miss Beautiful Eyes,
Miss Photogenic WHF, Miss SMS Voters and Miss Congeniality.

The 14 finalists are Dayang Zeffy Shaffiqa, Kueh Mei Fung, Dayang Faisya Fazlynna,
Dewi Liana Seriestha, Scherrie Amanda Kueh, Shahnaz Hai’adz, Anisca,
Prescilla Raymond, Khairunnisa Ismadi, Elizabeth Dorrie, Shareen Ormilla Ngilo,
Sherryl Akhma, Ummu Khansa and Nur Hanie. The grand final of the Miss Fair and
Lovely WHF 2010 will be held on May 29 at Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV).
Among the highlights will be a musical drama entitled Batang Arong and the
Sky Goddess: When Love Hunts for Magic, performances by international and
local musical troupes, workshops on traditional dance and music and a Dayak
food festival. Tickets cost RM60 for adults and RM30 for children aged six to
12 years. Before May 29, the tickets will be sold at RM25 for adults and RM15
for children at SCV (082-846 411 or 846 108) or the ticket counter at the
upper ground floor of Sarawak Plaza.
