INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL CONCERT

Another highlighted events during the 2 days World Harvest Festival was the international cultural concert, which showcasing the unique and various of dance not only from Sarawak, but also from neighboring countries, Pahang and West Kalimantan of Indonesia.

Sanggar Bengkawan

Sanggar Bengkawan of West Kalimantan Indonesia, Bahbola of Pahang and an instrumentalist from Perak gave an energetic and interesting performance to the public on the 2 days festival, at Dewan Lagenda, Sarawak  Cultural Village.

Sanggar Bengkawan

The Sanggar Bengkawan cultural group is made of 17 members. Their traditional dance is similar to the ethnic dances in Sarawak but the essence of their music is distinct.

Bahbola

The cultural group of Orang Asli Pahang, Bahbola, also mesmerized the audience with their distinctive songs and bouncy dance in their traditional outfits made of bark cloth and leaves.

Endang

A musically gifted Ell Zain Hyder Zainuddin, also known as Endang, also took the center stage and serenaded the crowd on her Er’hu (a Chinese tradisional musical instrument).

Before the festival, these cultural performers have made some promotional activities in Sekolah Kebangssan St Teresa, Kuching and Boulevard Shopping Complex on 21st May 2008.
