MOHD GHADAFY SAMSUDIN, IRON MAN WORLD HARVEST FESTIVAL 2008

One of interesting events held in World Harvest Festival 2008 was the physical and mental competition, Iron Man WHF08. This competition will test the physical and mental strength as well as the accuracy of the finalists.

Among the activities carried out during the final competition were rafting, throwing gunny sacks, blowpipe shooting, logs chopping and coconut dehusking.

Before the finalists could enter the final round, they have went through the elementary round, which was held on 18th May 2008 at Bukit Puteri in Santubong.

The elimination round involved a total of 22 adrenaline-charged participants ascending Mount Santubong, with the 12 fastest participants qualifying for the final round of the competiton in the 2 days event.

The winner of Iron Man WHF08 competition went to Mohd. Ghadafy Samsudin, walked away with cash prize of RM 1,000.00, a medal and certificate. Second runner-up went to Amirhanafi bin Ali with RM 700.00, a medal and a certificate, while Jackson Michael in third place with RM 500.00, a medal and a certificate.

The prize giving ceremony was done by Mdm Jane Lian Labang, general manager of Sarawak Cultural Village at Dewan Lagenda.

Iron Man WHF08 was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Social Development and Urbanization and RedBull.
