PEARLYCIA BROOKE, MISS FAIR & LOVELY WORLD HARVEST FESTIVAL 2008

On last World Harvest Festival 2008, Pearlycia Brooke outshone 12 other finalists to be crowned as the 10th Miss Fair & Lovely WHF08 at Sarawak Cultural Village 24th May 2008 at Sarawak Cultural Village.

She took home RM 3,000.00, a sash, trophy, a scholarship in Tourism Management from Segi College and other complementary gifts.

A master’s student of Environmental Biotechnology of UNIMAS also won herself the titles of Miss Best Traditional Costumes 2008 and Miss SMS Voters 2008.

Second runner-up went to Cassandra Daniel Manja, An AirAsia flight attendant. She took home RM 2,000.00 and other complementary gifts.

On 26th April 2008, this Bidayuh lass has won herself a subsidiary title Miss Talent Anggun 2008 where she sang a beautiful song “Terlalu Istimewa”  by Adibah Nor.

Third runner-up went to beautician, Ramdaniza Hasbi, received RM 1,000.00. She also awarded the Miss Spring Time 2008 Title.

Other subsidiary title on that night – Miss Photogenic 2008 and Miss Beautiful Eyes 2008 went to Fatin Syahira Yusuf, while Miss Congeniality 2008 went to Siti Rokiah Abdul Majed.

Datin Dr. Zaleha Abdullah, wife of Sarawak Economic Development Corporation chairman, Datuk Talip Zulpilip , the Guest of Honor, presented the awards to the winners.

Permanent secretary to the Ministry of Urban Development and Tourism, En. Akit Sebli, state director of  Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, En Zuraimi Abdul Razak, director of Sarawak Welfare Department, Ms. Kendy Edward and general manager of Sarawak Cultural Village, Mdm. Jane Lian Labang, were among those present at the event.
