INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL CONCERT,
DAY TIME WORKSHOP AND BAZAAR



The Harvest Festival (Gawai) is celebrated on a grander scale with the participant of
cultural troupes from other countries.
In WHF 2010, we shall celebrate the Harvest Festival with our friends from Thailand.
The performing Arts group of Uttaradit Rajabhat University has recognized the value of
Thai arts and culture which is unique.  The members of the group want to be the
representatives of Thai people and show their valuable culture to foreigners.
The exchange culture project creates friendship between the institutes and
the countries. 

The objectives of our group are:

  1. to disseminate Thai culture overseas
  2. to promote cultural exchange and learning between institutes
  3. to conserve and preserve Thai arts and culture
  4. to give students experience
  5. to promote students’ dancing ability
  6. to encourage student awareness of Thai arts and culture
  7. to show the potential of the university in Thai arts and culture preservation

A series of joint workshops by the local and invited cultural troupes will be held during
the 2 day festival, when visitors can have the opportunity to share and learn about each community’s traditions, foods and handicrafts.
Tickets will be on sale at Sarawak Cultural Village. There will be special rate for
WHF 2010 tickets if you purchase it early.
